Lobster Traps, Newfoundland

Black and White

Many years ago, during a horizon broadening trip to Newfoundland, I wandered off by myself to the area around Stephenville, on the south west coast.  A little further on lay the tiny fishing community of Port au Port, where fishing and maritime paraphernalia lay about, waiting for the next season to arrive.  This wonderful geometric design created by the stacked lobster traps fairly screamed out to be put on film, so I did.  Hard workers’ tools, at the ready.  Camera:  Canon AE1.  Film: Eastman Kodak Cine film; EI 80. Edition of 10.
