Description
As I trekked down the fire road access to Botanical Beach near Port Renfrew, I crossed a small bridge over a culvert that seemed to come from nowhere on one side, and drain to a brook on the other. I climbed down the small embankment, ducked under the overgrowth, and spied this beautiful scene beyond. Wildlife doesn’t have to be big, or even human sized. The wildlife pictured here is microscopic as well as macroscopic in nature. Indeed, these tiny creatures which you cannot see and usually never see, are the basis for life on our planet, for without them, no life as we know it would exist. Camera: Tachihara 4×5; Film: Fujichrome 100F Professional 4×5; f22 @30 seconds. Edition of 25.
